Another year older, another year more fashionable!

Happy getting older day to me!

So I'm officially getting old. I turned 25 last Friday! Which sounds like a great time-but it's my scary age. It's the age where things get real! I have to start using anti-aging cream, I have to work out even harder so that things stay well.. UP, I actually have to start planning and saving for my future (gotta love those RRSP's)...it's just all things I never had to worry about being in my early 20's.

I'm also at the age where everyday on Facebook someone is announcing that they're having a baby, that they're getting married or that they are already married or that they bought a house! And here I am like... "Hey guys! I posted a new blog about my clothes!". But whatever... getting a new outfit is fun to announce too! I'll get there one day! But that day is not today! I have no idea what to do with children, I've only been dating my boyfriend for a few months, and I'm currently saving for a house. So all in good time for me!

I guess one of the great parts about getting older is that people like to give you things to celebrate that! I feel like it must cushion the blow of turning another year older. So I thought I would share with you guys some of the great things my friends and family gave me for my birthday!

I sadly had to work on my birthday, but that's it! I still had a great day in-spite of that! Thomas's mom visited me at work and she gave me a Kate Spade phone case, which I am in love with - She did good! Thomas also bought me a cute little cake pop from Starbucks (I'm pretty sure the cake wasn't completely cooked inside, but I think thats what made it so delicious!) and my friend Steph came and brought me a rice crispy square! I mean, Kate Spade and baked goods on your birthday is always a great time!!

Later that night when I got off work Thomas treated me to some drinks at the Keg. It was nice to dress up and go out! I needed to do something that made me feel like it was my birthday!

My goodness he's an amazing boyfriend! :)

I got some cute things from my sister and her boyfriend! (I swear I never knew you had them Gill...) She bought me some things when she was in Toronto at H&M and Zara! Aren't they the sweetest! Brad also made me some French Onion soup with a baguette and a block of swiss cheese and everything! It was just perfect.

Jess and Saul did good too! New Lulu pants, a glass nail file and a Kate Spade book! That book will be so cute on a coffee table one day! Thanks guys!

And of course I bought myself a little present! The Free People Ethic Jacquard Moto Jacket - it was too good of a deal not to treat myself to! Regular $198 on sale for $49 at Envy! Like Happy Birthday to me is right!!

I got the cutest cards from everyone this year too, all having to do with fashion pretty much! Except Thomas's, it had a dog wearing glasses, which was still amazing! Thank you to Renee for the gift card and scratch tickets (I'm 85 on the inside!) and to my Aunt Renee for the David's Tea gift card! You know thats going to go a long way! I also have a bomber jacket on the way from Lululemon from my parents! I can't wait for that to get here-you knows that will be on a blog post as soon as it gets here! So thank you for everyone who made my birthday/birthday weekend what it was! :)

I guess turning 25 isn't that bad... A man I bowled with on Thursday made me feel a little better about it. He told me, "Don't worry about turning 25, I've got shoes home older than that"

Don't forget to Sparkle*
