I was inspired to write this weeks post because of the deal I got on a pair of
J Brand jeans this week at Envy. Like AH-MAZE-INGGGG!! (Thanks again Cecilia for showing me these!)
I wasn't even in the market for a new pair of jeans, but when a deal pops up like this you can't pass it up! The jeans were regular $255 on sale for...get this....
$64.95!!!!!
Like WHATTTT!! That's 75% off!! When premium denim go that cheap you don't leave them there. That's just a fashion rule!A lot of the things I purchase I get great deals on. So I built my outfit for this weeks blog on all items that I got at great prices!!
I do buy things at regular price, but to be completely honest, most things I buy - I buy on sale! For the most part I shop at Winners and Envy (there's not a lot of places to shop in St. John's) and I always find beautiful things for great prices! Or I get things with coupons or discount codes! I've become quite the Bargain Hunter, I've got to say!
The only time I buy a lot of things at regular price is when I go on shopping trips because I go in with the mentality "I'll never be able to get this again!" But even when even then I still look for great prices on things! If you go on a trip anywhere you have to see if there is an outlet in the vicinity. (If you go to New York, you have to go to Woodbury Common! So great!)
At Envy I always tend to get great prices on things! I picked up the Sanctuary 'City Coat' there this winter for half off! Regular $200 on sale for $99.98! I absolutely love this piece too! It's thin enough that I can wear it as a blazer to work, but thick enough that I can wear it as a spring or fall coat. And the beauty of this coat is that it's in season pretty much all year round! Houndstooth is just classic! I also go this Vero Moda "Keep your heels, head and standards high" shirt there as well. It wasn't on sale but it was only $19! I mean thats an amazing price for a great graphic tee! They have a few more there with other sayings on them too! Go grab one while they're still there! A graphic tee is a wardrobe staple!
My favorite find by far is my pink Kate Spade Wellesley Alessa Bag I got at Winners! I stumbled on it while I was browsing around one day. I spotted it in this huge basket of purses that they were putting out and nabbed it before it was even put on the shelf! This is like a $300 bag and I got it for $180! Such an amazing find! The color is so cool and its such a perfect size! Great summer bag!!
These Converse though... I couldn't leave them there!!! My friend Jess bought them last summer at Ballistic and they were somewhere around the $80 range. Leather outside with studs on each side - such a cool sneaker! I found them when Jess and I went on a shopping trip to New York in October at the Converse store at Woodbury Common for $30! Amazing find, I must say!!
Retail therapy works I don't care what they say!
Also got an amazing deal on the Kate Spade 'ooh-la-la' idiom bracelet too! $30 for a Kate Spade bracelet at Winners, you can't walk away from that!! Finally my last accessory item I got a great price on was my Melanie Auld Tear Cuff in Purple Druzzy. I was looking at this bracelet for months and then I received a Black Friday Sale email...Everything 50% off!! So I got a bracelet that was regular $130 for $27!!!! Subscribing to emails really pays off!
Working in the mall is great because you get the inside scoop on deals and other businesses give out "Friends and Family" events cards from time to time! I wanted the Ray-Ban Clubmasters in Tortoise with the blue lenses for months and a few weeks ago an employee from the Sunglasses Hut dropped off a coupon for 20% off, so naturally I took this as a sign from the fashion gods and went and picked myself up a pair of sunglasses!
Big shout out to my friend, Kaitlyn, for being my photographer for the day! I'm so impressed with you-you're a great little photographer! (I repayed her in Starbucks, I thought that was a great method of payment!)
So here's proof that even if you shop sale you can still be fashionable! Always keep your eyes peeled for the next great deal that crosses your path, and if you can afford it, don't pass it up!!
Am I right???
Hope you are all having a sparkling day!!
Don't Forget to Sparkle*
