My makeup game has to be strong pretty much everyday of my life. Living the (pretty much) albino life you don't have much of a choice but to put on mascara and have your eyebrows on everyday. I pretty much reverse and instead of looking older without make up on I look the same as I did when I was 12! There has been times where I have barely put on make up or have none on at all and people will ask me if I'm sick or they just have no idea it's me! So I've learned the make up life is the life for me.
Thomas will always tell me he prefers me without make up and I'm hiding my beauty-yada-yada-yada, but he's my boyfriend, he has to think that! But thank you for the kind words baby <3 You're the best!
It actually takes a lot of guts for me to post pictures online of me without make up on. Not many people have seen me without make up before, I mean I can probably count on 2 hands the people who have. Everyone has their insecurities and me not wearing make up is definitely one of mine, but it is something I'm starting to get over! I'm very lucky that I enjoy wearing make up and putting it on everyday. I like to see my face as a canvas that I get to play with and create everyday! Whether I'm having a fancy, glittery kinda day or just a casual no-makeup-makeup kind of day, I always like to play around with it!
This look is my everyday go to look. Nothing over the top. Just the basics!! I'm no pro at makeup by any means, I've learned a lot from Youtube and from Kait-my beauty queen make up friend!
SO LET'S START THIS THING!!!
I start my face obviously completely blank! I use my Clarisonic everyday to make sure my whole face is make up free (ladies and gents-you NEED a Clarisonic in your life!! It will change the way you feel about a clean face!)
The first thing I apply is my Tarte clean slate poreless primer. I love primers because they actually help keep your make up on all day without having to touch up 10 times throughout the day!
Foundation
Next I apply my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in the color Cream Ivory and I apply that with a damp Beauty Blender (Sin for my Beauty Blender. It was pink once upon a time! Time for a new one!!)
After my foundation is on I apply concealer to my chin, nose, under eyes, forehead and any places where I may have some blemishes and blend that in with my Beauty Blender as well! The concealer I'm using is Urban Decay Naked Skin in Fair. This concealer is probably one of the few ones out there light enough for my skin tone because I'm so light!!
Concealer face or getting ready for a football game?

The final part of my foundation routine is applying a powder with a big fluffy brush! I'm using Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder in color 3.
Contour & Highlight
Next I contour, contour, contour!!
Here I'm using the Anastasia Beverly Hills in Light to Medium with a Sigma contour brush.
I use the middle brown color to contour out my cheek bones and sides of my nose.
Then I use a mix of the other 2 brown colors to contour my jaw line and hair line.
Next I apply a blush over my cheeks to add a little color! The blush I'm using here is Sin by NARS.
(Note: I think this color is now called Seduction-Sangria)
To finish off this part of my face I use a Body Shop Brush on Radiance highlight that I've probably had for almost 6 years now! It's insane that I use this everyday but it hasn't depleted at all! I don't enjoy the Highlight in the Anastasia Beverly Hills pallet as much. Not gonna lie! I doesn't give enough of a shine for my preference!
This I apply to the tops of my cheeks.
Eyes
To start the eyes I always use a eyeshadow primer! Eyeshadow primers are so important to your eye make up because it helps your eyeshadow stay on longer and also prevents creasing. Even on my most makeup-less days eyeshadow primer will always be on!
For this look I'm using Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden. This primer is great if you plan on only using matte eyeshadows because it makes the color more vibrant and gives the matte eyeshadows a better finish.
Apply over the entire lid from lash line to brow bone.
I'll be using the Naked Basics pallet for the majority of this look!
This pallet is one my my all time favorites! I've never had to buy a pallet twice but this one I had to because I ran out of all the colors! It's the perfect pallet if you're a minimalist, but also a great pallet if you wear lots of make up everyday because it has all your basic colors that you will need for any look!
I apply Foxy to my entire lid with a MAC Eye Shader Brush then Virgin to my brow bone and inner eye to create a highlight.
Then I use a angled shader brush to put Naked 2 in my crease and blend it out so there are no harsh lines and then build Faint on top of that to create more depth and bring into my outer V.
Then on top of each of those colors I blend in MAC's Haux to add a little bit more color and depth.
Then I use Crave from the Naked Basics pallet and go in with a crease brush to and apply that to my crease and outer V and then use a fluffy shader brush to blend it all together.
Finally I use Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner and apply that to my lash line.
Eyebrows
My most needed product ever!! Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade for the win!!! If anyone is going to stress the importance of eyebrows...IT'S ME!!
My Dutch background has cursed me with very light eyebrows and eyelashes! They are practically non-existent without the help of makeup.
I'm using ABH Dip brow pomade in Medium Brown and I'm using the ABH Brush #14 to apply the product.
First I brush my eyebrows out with the spooly brush.
Then I start at the bottom of my eyebrows and do an outline and fill them in using soft strokes with the brush. (Tip: Make sure there isn't too much product on the brush or else you can make them look too dark and unnatural)
^ Prime example of how eyebrows can change a face!! ^
Finally I finish my eyes with mascara and I'm using Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes.
Lips
I start with using Stila's Lush Lips Plumping Lip Primer to give my lips a great start! I actually just love primers for everything! Eyes, face, lips..I need primer for everything but my lashes because they're already white enough.
Then I use Sephora's Cream Lip Stain in Black Berry Sorbet for my lip color.
I have to give it to Sephora, these lip stains are amazing!!! and such a good price too! They literally stay on all day and you might have to apply it after you eat and thats it! If you're looking for long wear and high pigmented color in a lip color then these are the ones for you!!
And finally I'M DONE!!!
I hope you all enjoyed stepping into my mirror with me and maybe introduced you to some new products to play with!
As much as I love make up, just make sure you know that you don't need make up to make you beautiful. You're all beautiful inside and out! And if you're a little insecure about not wearing make up I hope this gave you the courage to let more people in and let more people see you without make up! It took a lot of courage for me to step outside my comfort zone and post a full blog of me basically not having a full face on!
Make up isn't about covering up your face, its about enhancing the beauty you already posses! Sometimes you just need a few tools to help highlight that beauty!
Wow, so stunning Megan. Your natural face in natural light is a fine combination.
