Don't Forget to Sparkle: Le Fric, C'est Chic!

I've been super busy these past few weeks and the weather hasn't really been the best here in St. John's so it's been a bad combination for blogging!! Thomas asked me "why don't you just take your photos inside?" But I just feel St. John's is so beautiful that I should take advantage of having such cool backdrops for my photos! Plus I don't really know of anywhere good to take photos inside that it wouldn't be awkward if I was just posing while Thomas took photos of me in this weeks outfit ya know?? This weeks outfit came from my constant search for outfit inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram for outfits to wear to work and for outfits for the Aldo Best Dressed Contest photoshoot! The photoshoot went so so well by the way! I had so much fun! Sandra Lee was the photographer for it and she was so so awesome! She made me feel very at ease and had so much fun with it! It was like we weren't even taking pictures, it was like we were just hanging out! I'm actually the most awkward in front of a camera, I know it's hard to believe where I take so many pictures for my blog, but ask anyone who has taken my photo before I have this like nervous twitch with my hand because I don't know what to do with them when my someone is taking my picture! But she did such a good job of occupying my hands, I felt so comfortable with it all! If you ever need to book a photographer for an event I totally suggest her! She's amazing!! I also got these amazing shoes as a present from the Marketing department from Aldo from the photo shoot! I absolutely love them!!!! Like such a comfortable sandal! You probably don't believe me but seriously.. Would I lie to you? I think not! I would never lead you astray! The ankle strap keeps your feet from popping out and the heel isn't too high which is perfect! Honestly such a perfect shoe to be able to wear for a night out without having to worry about your feet killing you at the end of the night! I wore them to work the other day and lasted 6 hours in them which is amazing considering it was a busy Friday and I was running around the store and climbing ladders and what not! These bad boys are seriously the bomb. I think they would make a great shoe for a night out dancing with the girls! Also a foam instep cushion goes a long way! I'm a huge advocate for shoe care products, I mean.. Anything to make a shoe more comfortable!! You really can't say no to that!!

I also dragged my friend Renee out to take my photos this week! I haven't seen her in a while and I needed a photographer- so it worked out well!! So all photo cred to Renee!! We had so much fun!! I am so in love with this skirt from RW & co.! I don't have many pieces in my wardrobe that shows off my teapot tattoo that Andy did for me at Trouble Bound. I love it so much but I'm not one for shorts or extremely short skirts that would show it off, my upper thunder thighs just aren't up for that! So this skirt is perfect because it's such an appropriate length but still gives a little sex appeal with the slit up the leg. It's also a super cool piece to dress up and down! Like I could pop it on with a t shirt like what I have pair with it now and some flat sandals or I could tuck a cute tank inside it and wear it out to supper with a pair of heels! Love the versatility!

Also can we talk about the fact that I'm wearing the same shirt I had on in my last blog post but in a different size and color?? The grey one I tend to wear more as a button up shirt and this one I very rarely button up! Where it's a little oversized I like to wear it more like a coat or over piece. Sometimes you just need to own the same thing twice. But like I don't feel as bad because it's a different color. Is that okay?? Or does that mean I have a problem?? ..ah who cares! They're both perfect!

And I've also been living in this tshirt... It's just so soft! Such a great go to graphic tee!
